MY EXPERIENCE AND ROLE:
This past weekend I had to the privilege of attending the BOLD Conference at Harvard University in Massachusetts hosted by Harvard Undergraduate Women In Business (HUWIB) where I was honored to receive a scholarship to participate. This two-day program brought together driven young women from across the country for panels, workshops, and mentorship that challenged and inspired me.
Day 1:
Consisted of panels in finance, marketing, and fashion, with leaders from Emily Blair Media, LLC ,Dress for Success Worldwide NUDESTIX, The Wall Street Skinny , other top PR and media firms and more. I also took part in a PR simulation workshop and connected with so many ambitious peers throughout the day!
The absolute highlight of my day was the “People Buy From People” workshop led by Sedge Beswick. Her session was so impactful because she broke down what it truly means to build trust, communicate with confidence, and show up authentically in any business environment. She emphasized that the strongest brands and leaders succeed not because they’re the loudest, but because they connect with people on a genuine, human level. As someone who cares deeply about creativity, social media, and entrepreneurship, her workshop really resonated with me and gave me a new perspective on how I want to show up in my work and future career!
Day 2:
This day featured an entertainment panel, a college applications session with HUWIB members, a wellness and branding workshop with Alisha Gupta, and an inspiring content creation panel with Influencers Olivia Ponton, Hannah Meloche, and Campbell Puckett. Most importantly, we also met the Ultimate Ivy League Guide’s CEO Elise Pham and Cancer Kids First’s CEO Olivia Zhang for the college applications panel.
This weekend reminded me of the power of community and what’s possible when women uplift each other. A huge thank you to the HUWIB team for creating such an empowering experience. I’m extremely grateful for the lessons learned and the amazing people I met.
